Obama’s fear mongering is doing as much to harm our economy as his bloated, obscene stimulus bill.  In large part this is a crisis of confidence and we need a leader to bolster that confidence instead of spreading fear in order to push his liberal agenda.

Obama wants to model his presidency after Abraham Lincoln.  In reality all he can do is plagiarize Lincoln.  He hasn’t shown any indication he deserves to be included in the same sentence with our beloved 16th president.  He should, instead, be looking to Ronald Reagan for an appropriate model.  Instead of constantly speaking of how bad it is (we know) and how much worse it is going to get (we get it) he could be trying to calm nerves and rebuild confidence in the greatest nation on the planet.

But what we are going to get is a bloating, inefficient central government modeled on European socialism.  After all, he won the election.  And in the end the blame for the mess currently being created in Washington will be laid at the feet of Obama, Pelosi, Reid, their cohorts, and the uninformed people of this country who didn’t take the time to really learn the issues. 

Voters fell for the speeches.  Unfortunately we can’t keep people from voting because they are ignorant of the whole process.  And those are the people the Democrats target.  Show a little charisma, promise a hand out and there you have it.   The “hate George W. Bush” movement was so intense people lost all common sense.  So, in a way I guess we can add Bush to the list of responsible parties to this debacle.  Another form of ignorance.

Our children and their children are going to have a hell of a time paying off this unnecessary bill we are handing them.  And remember we need them to take care of us in our old age, too.  It’s a shame.  It’s irresponsible.  But there’s no stopping it now.
